Retreat Series: The Reset

The Reset is a free, Black-centered day-long wellness retreat for Black women and Black gender-diverse individuals in the Ottawa and Gatineau area, created by Black folks, for Black folks. Returning throughout the year, each retreat offers a dedicated space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and be held in community. Rooted in rest, nourishment, and intentional care, The Reset offers a dedicated space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and be held in community.

The Retreat: A full day designed around gentle movement, food and nutrition exploration, and intentional solo time for reflection, play, and grounding. The Reset is not a workshop or a program, it is an invitation to simply be, in a space that was built with you in mind.

The Purpose: The Reset was created in recognition that Black women and Black gender-diverse people deserve rest that is unapologetic and unhurried. This retreat series is a space of nourishment, honouring lived experiences and supporting participants in returning to themselves.

The Activities: Participants will engage in gentle movement-based activities, explore food and nutrition in a supportive setting, and enjoy intentional solo time designed to encourage reflection, play, and grounding.
