about us
let’s meet our
Team
Our team is more than a group of people who work together, we are a community that is ever-growing, changing and evolving. Our work represents who we are and every member of our team has poured their love and care into the gender-based violence movement.
we are all about
Community Building & Collective Care
At Project Agape, community building is at the core of our mission. We believe in the power of collective care, mutual support, and shared healing within Black communities. Our efforts are focused on creating safe, inclusive spaces where Black individuals can connect, grow, and thrive.
Through various gatherings, support groups, and collaborative projects, we provide opportunities for Black people to come together, engage in healing conversations, and build lasting relationships. These spaces are designed to nurture authentic connections, foster trust, and empower individuals to share their stories and reclaim their joy.
We also host creative and wellness-centered programs that celebrate Black resilience and culture, offering moments for rest, rejuvenation, and community celebration. Our approach is rooted in the belief that true healing and growth happen when we are surrounded by those who understand our experiences and when we uplift one another. Our work uses Afro-centric healing practices to foster community healing and growth.
we are all about
Outreach & Education
At Project Agape, we are dedicated to fostering connections within the Black community through outreach and education. Our goal is to create spaces where Black individuals are supported, empowered, and given the tools to thrive.
Our outreach initiatives include community engagement through events, programs, workshops, and partnerships with local organizations. We focus on amplifying Black voices, building trust, and fostering a sense of belonging. Through these efforts, we seek to uplift Black survivors, promote healing, and encourage self-advocacy.
Our educational programs are designed to support capacity-building within the community. We offer a range of workshops, panels, and learning opportunities that focus on mental wellness, understanding survivorship, and collective healing. With a decolonial, intersectional approach, our educational initiatives also highlight the importance of understanding systemic barriers, while celebrating the resilience, joy, and creativity of Black individuals.
Whether through outreach or education, Project Agape is committed to creating safe, inclusive spaces that center the voices and needs of Black communities.
